Our commitments to limit the impact on the marine environment:
1. Filters assessed as non-ecotoxic and tested on 3 key marine biodiversity species¹.
2. Products developed with formulas optimized to promote biodegradability² and with a limited number of UV filters. Packaging made from recycled or recyclable materials, of bio-origin or compostable, or lightweight plastic. Packaging containing at least 68% recycled materials.
3. Communication actions aimed at raising awareness/informing the public about the need to choose adequate sunscreen and follow the recommendations for use.
¹Tests carried out by the Banyuls-sur-Mer Ocean Observatory, a partner of the European Marine Biological Resource Center (or independent laboratories), on 3 key marine biodiversity species — one coral species, one phytoplankton species, and one zooplankton species — at concentrations representative of those present in the environment for sunscreens.
